“It’s not a protest, it’s a prayer meeting”

Today in America, there are estimated 4,400 children killed in abortion, every single day. Over half of all U.S. women obtaining an abortion are from the Christian community (http://bound4life.com/statistics). This is staggering. Where are the true shepherds? Death has entered through the windows, and our complacency in the church to respond only reveals our agreement with the World that sin is best left hidden, and moral failure is best left behind closed doors. Yet all the while, innocence suffers long and the blood of the unborn cries out from the ground for justice.

What is the best way we can respond to the holocaust of our generation?

We believe that God outrageously delights in
mercy, and even in the most desperate situation, will hear prayer from His people as we humble ourselves in repentance. (Micah 7:18, 2 Chr. 7:14) We seek to bring application of this message to our region through silent, on-site solemn assemblies of prayer and fasting. (Joel 2:11-17)

Our stand is not a protest, but a silent prayer meeting. When LIFE is written on a piece of red tape and placed on our mouths, we are identifying with the silent cries of the unborn and of those who have no voice. We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released. It is a plea— “Oh, that God would subpoena the conscience of America!”

We stand before God on behalf of His people in humility and repentance, and stand on behalf of God with the message of mercy and truth in the Lord Jesus.

Not all protest is wrong. But in of itself, protest is insufficient to heal the wounds of a community. The zeal of God for justice is our greatest dilemma, and His mercy is the only possible solution. We believe He has freely given this mercy to the World by giving us His Son, Jesus Christ, to be crucified and rise again.

Jesus was sacrificed on our behalf, bearing our sin and shame, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. His blood speaks better things than wrath and vengeance for all those who believe. Now risen from the dead, and seated at God’s right hand, Jesus is able to save to the uttermost, and bring eternal life to all who will surrender to Him as Lord, and call upon His name.

One day, Jesus will return to the Earth as King, and bring forth justice to all the nations. He will raise every baby killed in abortion from the dead, and bring them perfect justice (Jn. 5:28). This is our blessed hope, but also reason to tremble before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The day of vengeance is in His heart! (Isa. 63)
